When I was in elementary school, I was supposed to do a book report. The book was so good I wanted to re-read it a few times and did NOT want to take the time to write a full report. So my report consisted of this sentence:
She was captured by the Indians.
For some reason this reminds me of that moment, but with joy. Keep doing this!

For this, I was inspired by Alice Walker’s early poems written in Kenya. From “Her Blue Body Everything We Know”. A few words capture everything.
Even then you were a clean-worded poet.
My teacher–as well as my mother, were not amused
But I am amused. You must have been a delightful child, so absorbed in books. You also had your priorities straight.
